What's new?

I'm getting an art studio!
Yay!
Hopefully by mid September, but more likely from the start of October, as the people who run the place are putting up a wall to split the room in two, as we're 3 people sharing a bit less than half a room!
I can't wait! So those of you who were hoping the days of home made presents were over, hope again! :-)
Have a good September!

Sculpture drama

Some of you might have seen photos of my latest sculpture. It was lovely.
Well, there's clue nr 1.
She had a short but eventful life, ending up exploding in the kiln at the Cowane centre.
I'll put some photos of her day out the back garden at work at St Andrew's Church and then one of her taken on Wednesday.

I've not given up on her yet, and am considering giving her a prosthetic body, as I could only salvage her ribs and up.
I'm thinking of making it out of thick metal thread, but if anyone has any ideas?

Here are some pics:

story of a funny cat!

IAIN C's RANDOM REFLECTIONS: Who knows what goes on inside her pretty little head?

IAIN C's RANDOM REFLECTIONS: Who knows what goes on inside her pretty little head?

Look at this sweet post!
I discovered this ministers blog from a link of Albert Bogle's blog (my boss, the minister in the church where I work). As you are all well aware, I do enjoy the company of cats!

wildlife excitement

When I went to Finse I hoped to see a fox in a winter outfit, and thought this not unlikely to happen.
I was told this was optimistic, but lo and behold, there it was!
I thought it only fair to show you a photo or two and a mini video.
It might make a good variation to my buzzard photos :-)
I am aware this is a nerdy streak of mine, but the great geek chic trend
makes this brilliantly faboulous :-D

Anyway, this proves how nice it can be to be optimistic and hopeful.
When I visited Laila in Bodø (in the North of Norway)for the weekend about nine years ago, I said that I was hoping to see the northern lights. I was told how unlikely it was that the aurora borealis would pop up during the weekend especially for me. Well, pessimists eat your hats, God is good, delighting me with the beauty of nature at opportune moments!

I nearly choked on my Lakerol sweetie at the time :-)
Anyway, here's a very cute semi tame wild fox that hung out by the Finse train station:
